Assessing your well-being is an important first step that can be done in a number of different ways including an initial appointment, dietary and exercise tracking as well as comprehensive blood work panels.

After the initial assessment , our Naturopathic Doctor will work with you to to tailor your treatment plan to achieve your best health using a combination of treatment modalities. This may include: Dietary counselling, supplement recommendations, botanical medicine, acupuncture and lifestyle modifications to improve sleep and stress levels.

At The Runner’s Academy our Naturopathic Doctor additionally focuses on general medicine of non-runners, no matter what your concern.

    Your plan may include: Nutrition modification, supplementation, lifestyle changes or acupuncture treatments.

  • We will guide you towards your health or performance goals by helping you track changes in your blood biomarkers, sleep, nutrition or lifestyle. 

    Reassessing your blood biomarkers every 3-6 months will show you your progress from the inside and help us make any necessary modifications to the plan.

    The healthy living assessment includes biomarkers for liver, kidney, blood, electrolyte, heart and metabolic health.

    This panel is for anyone trying to gain insight into their general health as well as for athletes looking to improve their performance.

  • Inflammation Panel

    Gain insight into general inflammation that may affect you on the run and beyond.

    Inflammation can be associated with gut health integrity, hormone production/use, weight gain, cardiovascular health deterioration and mood disorders.

  • Fatigue Panel

    If you’re looking to gain insight into factors driving your fatigue, this panel is for you.

    The biomarkers being tested will help identify whether common concerns such as anemia, infections or thyroid issues are contributing to your fatigue.

  • Nutrient Panel

    We know that fuelling is important to running your best and this panel is designed to help ensure that you’re in your sweet spot.

    This panel may be recommended when nutrient deficiency or malabsorption are suspected, urine essential elements are abnormal or whenever deficiencies or insufficiencies of key minerals are being considered.
