Avery graduated from the University of Toronto, completing an Honours Bachelors of Kinesiology & Exercise Science, all while competing for the Varsity Blues Cross-Country and Track & Field Teams from 2015-2020. Upon graduating, Avery co-founded the BIPOC Varsity Association (BVA) with other Varsity athletes at the University of Toronto with the ultimate goal of fulfilling numerous initiatives which will combat systemic racism and increase the chances of success for BIPOC student-athletes at the University of Toronto.
Avery has acquired an extensive amount of running experience through training and competing at provincial and national level caliber races for over a decade. She currently competes for the University of Toronto Track & Field Club (UTTC).
In high school she placed 3rd in the OFSAA 800m (2015), and 7th in the 1500m (2015). Throughout her university track career, she has progressively excelled and placed 5th through to 1st place in multiple events for OUA Championships and U SPORTS National Championships.
As a Kinesiology graduate, aspiring to continue her studies in the field of sports medicine, Avery combines her experience and knowledge to guide individuals down a training path that is designed specifically for them. Avery’s mantra is to have fun throughout the process, listen to your body and tap into your unknown potential!
