Dr. Chantelle Maryuen has an Honours Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto with a major in Biology, and minors in both Visual Studies, and Buddhism Psychology and Mental Health. She graduated from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) with honours and is in the process of completing the McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program. While at CMCC, she founded and led the school’s first running club. She graduated with the Scott Wilson Graduation Award and David W. Artis Memorial Award.
She is an passionate runner who has trained and competed since 11 years of age. She ran with the York University Track and Field Club followed by the University of Toronto Varsity Blues as a middle to long distance track, and cross country runner. Since then, she has run road races from 5 km up to 1/2 marathon. She has experience coaching youth to adults in running and is in training with the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP).
Dr. Maryuen has certifications in various courses, including Active Release Technique (ART), instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). She has a special interest in gait analysis. She believes in finding the root cause of an issue and implements movement strategies to help you feel better. She looks forward to helping you reach your goals.
Dr. Maryuen is currently practicing under a provisional licence.
