Dr. Geoffrey Johnston is a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. He also holds an Honours degree in Physical and Health Education from Queen’s University. While at Queen’s University, Dr. Johnston was a student athletic therapist for the men’s Varsity Volleyball Team, and received the Athletic Therapy Award in his graduating year.
Dr. Johnston is experienced in treating people of all ages and abilities, including professional, varsity, and competitive youth athletes. Dr. Johnston employs a functional, evidence-based approach to patient care. He uses adjustments, mobilizations, soft tissue techniques, medical acupuncture, taping, targeted exercises and patient education, to achieve individualized treatment goals. Dr. Johnston is certified in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University, Active Release Techniques (ART), and Athletic Movement Assessment.
Dr. Johnston is passionate about running, and loves the community that it fosters. His race history includes the Cabot Trail Relay, Around the Bay, and countless 10 Ks, and is looking forward to running the Trail Race Series in the future. In addition to running, Dr. Johnston is a former elite level baseball player, winning 2 national championships with the Toronto Mets organization. He also enjoys spending time as a coach/ trainer for youth hockey and volleyball, respectively.
