Julia graduated from Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) with a Bachelor’s of science in Exercise Science and went on to graduate from the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy in 2019.
Julia was a member of MTSU’s cross country and track team from 2012-2016 where she competed in numerous events from the 1500m to the 10,000m.
Julia’s approach to treatment starts with hands on techniques and patient education; getting her clients to understand why they may be experiencing pain or dysfunction and encouraging clients to continue using the tools and strategies they learn outside of the treatment room as well.
Julia has a background in various yoga styles and has completed 300 hours of training from high intensity power yoga to restorative, yin and prenatal. This background comes to play in the treatment room where we address the nervous system, through breathing, movement and mindfulness. Some of Julia’s past accomplishments were coming in 8th at OFSAA cross country in 2011 and earning herself Freshmen of the year in 2012 at the Sun Belt conference championships, leading her team with a 6th place finish. Julia is also an active member and coach of the Blue Devils Athletics Club (BDAC) where she assists with the distance team for the senior youth and high school program.
