Kids Run Crew


We are excited to invite your child to join The Runner’s Academy Kids Run Crew.  This group training session will be geared towards keeping your child moving while maintaining a positive experience with physical activity, running and team motivation.

When:  Mondays and Wednesdays 4:30pm-5:30pm

Starts: Monday Sept 28th 2020 (Total 9 sessions as there will be no meet up on Thanksgiving Monday)

Cost: $45 +HST/Child

Where:  We will meet outside 101 Gladstone Ave, then move together to the Alexander Muir Gladstone Public School.

What to bring:  Please arrive with a mask, a full water bottle and comfortable running shoes!

Who:  This group training will be led by one of our Strength Coaches and Kinesiologist: Jake Carroll

Jake Carroll

Jake is currently completing his D.O.M.P at the Canadian College of Osteopathy, where he is studying and practicing to become an Osteopathy Manual Practitioner.   He completed his Bachelors of Kinesiology at the University of Toronto, while competing as a captain for the Varsity Blues Cross-Country and Track & Field Teams.

Jake is highly involved in the running community through competing at local university and community races. Jake has acquired a vast amount of running experience through training and competing at provincial and national level caliber races from 2009 to the present.  He currently competes for the Toronto West Athletics Track & Field club.

In high school he placed 4th in OFSAA 3000m (2011) and 7th at OFSAA cross country (2010). On the university stage he has placed 1st in the 4x800m relay at OUA Championships (2019) and 3rd in the 4x800m relay at USports Championships (2019).

As a student of Kinesiology and Osteopathy, Jake combines his knowledge of movement assessment and strength and conditioning to identify disorders and develop a plan to regenerate proper function!  Jake’s main coaching philosophy is to listen to your body, be patient throughout your running journey, and have fun.


*** Upon purchase you will be able to download a consent form for your child to bring to the first session.

****Masks will be worn while gathering as a group, but NOT while exercising.
