Dr Brittany Moran’s number one objective is to get you back running your best!
Having sustained some major running injuries herself; she understands the physical but also the mental/emotional side of running injuries. She has been able to successfully come back to run personal bests post injury, and wants to help you do the same! Rather than just make the pain go away she strives to find the route cause of the problem, help make the necessary adjustments and optimize your movement to get you back running better than ever.
Dr Moran has true passion for running and it has been her sport of choice for her entire life. She competed on the University of Windsor varsity team in cross country and track and now competes at the sub elite level in major international marathon events with a personal best time of 2:36:23. In addition to her athletic accomplishments, Dr. Moran has coaching experience at many different levels. She is a Nike Toronto run coach and has also founded her own running team, StrideWise Running, that focuses on positive vibes and embracing the process of training.
Dr Moran has a kinesiology degree from the University of Windsor and a doctor of chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Dr. Moran is committed to lifelong learning and continues to take courses to enhance her skills. She is trained in Contemporary Medical Acupuncture from McMaster University and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Her most recent certification is in Neurokinetic Therapy, which uses muscle testing to help determine areas of dysfunction within the body. This allows her to use many different techniques to treat the entire musculoskeletal system. Dr. Moran uses a functional approach in the assessment of patients, looking for weaknesses and imbalances that need to be addressed in order to fix the issue.
