Lindsay strives to get to the root of the issue, resolve it efficiently and get you back in action, stronger than ever.
In addition to injury management and prevention, Lindsay loves to integrate performance training into her approach. She is passionate about running and triathlon, and this combination of personal experience and educational background has allowed her to develop an in-depth understanding of the physical demands of endurance sport and a keen eye for identifying biomechanical contributors to injury and performance.
Lindsay is an enthusiastic life-long learner. In addition to her Masters degree in Physical Therapy, Lindsay recently completed a Masters of Clinical Science in Advanced Health Care Practice (Manipulative Therapy) from the University of Western Ontario. She is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT), which is the highest accreditation for orthopaedic physiotherapy in Canada signifying extensive post-graduate education and internationally-recognized qualifications in hands-on therapy. She has also pursued post-graduate education in anatomical acupuncture, soft tissue release, and the Selective Functional Movement Assessment, which is a movement based diagnostic system used to classify movement patterns and direct manual therapy and therapeutic exercise interventions.
Lindsay enjoys helping clients achieve their personal goals through a balance of education, manual therapy, personalized exercise prescription, acupuncture, health promotion, and injury prevention. She is also dedicated to advancing orthopaedic physiotherapy in Canada through leadership within the physiotherapy profession. Lindsay has recently been named an Executive of the National Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association.
Outside of the clinic, Lindsay has experience as a personal trainer, cycling instructor and running coach and continues to train, compete and coach in the community. As a run Ambassador for lululemon, she has also had the honour of acting as an official pacer for several races across Canada. After completing an Ironman distance triathlon, she is learning to love her time in the pool almost as much as she loves lacing up and heading out for a long run!
