Dr. Matas Nakrosius ND, graduated from The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto and is a licensed naturopathic doctor in the province of Ontario, he is currently a member and in good standing with the College of Naturopaths of Ontario.
Matas has a bachelor degree in kinesiology with Honours from The University of Toronto. His background in kinesiology in combination with degree in naturopathic medicine gives him a holistic approach to sport medicine, nutrition and lifestyle interventions.
Diagnosed at the age of 6 with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus, Matas has learned first hand the importance, application and optimization of nutrition and exercise in a healthy lifestyle. Matas also has a special interest in cardiovascular health, diabetes and metabolic concerns, nutrition planning, gut health and pain management.
Matas is proficient in botanical medicine, nutraceuticals, acupuncture and traditional Chinese medicine, exercise prescription, nutrition and homeopathy.
Matas has a vast history in competitive sports including soccer, volleyball and swimming. Post collegiately he took up running and has been training consistently ever since, excelling in the 5-10k distances. Additionally Matas grew up skateboarding so he has a wealth of experience dealing with acute and long term injuries.
